Diana Velica

Diana Velica is leading the AI and Global Justice initiative, an interdisciplinary endeavor with a mission of harnessing AI to reduce disparities, improve access to healthcare, education, new skills, and better governance. She first joined the Global Justice Program in 2013 with a research project on the importance of tackling the global arms trade within the international development context. Her research interests are focused around global inequality & neoliberalism, human rights, women’s empowerment, and peace-building. She leads Academics Stand Against Poverty Romania, a network of academics, practitioners, journalists and experts who are working towards creating a coordinated consensus about social justice issues.
