Sebastian Kistler works in a research project about Bioeconomy and Social Transformation funded by the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Germany). He was a Substitute Professor of Theological Ethics at the University of Passau and is currently a Substitute Professor of Theological Social Ethics and Social Sciences at the University of Regensburg. Kistler studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, the Hochschule für Philosophie in Munich, the University of Augsburg, and the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. His doctoral thesis was on Global Justice and Climate Change, discussing the discourse about Egalitarianism and Communitarianism in relation to the Challenges of Climate Change. He co-edited Conference Proceedings about Global Common Goods, Digital Transformations in Society, and Ethics within scientific borders. His main research interests are Global Justice, Environmental and Animal Ethics, and Ethics of Transformation.
