Charles Chilufya is a business economist, whose Master of Research at ESADE Business School in Barcelona focused on reconciling business and society as a way of articulating the role of business in economic development and poverty eradication. He is an African Jesuit of Zambian origin working for the Jesuit Justice and Ecology Network Africa (JENA) headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya where Charles works from and lives. JENA is a network of think tanks that focus their work on economic and social justice. As a secretariat, it is a vital Jesuit interface between global policies in the economic, social and environmental spheres and local issues confronting populations in Africa. Prior to his current appointment, Charles served at the Copperbelt University (CBU), a public university in Zambia, where he worked in the School of Business as lecturer. In the CBU School of Business Charles taught research methods in business and economics as well as history of economic thought. He also taught Regional Integration Theory in the Dag Hammarskjold Peace Institute of the CBU.
