Farsan Ghassim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). During his undergraduate studies, he interned with a Latin American investment bank in Bogotá (Colombia), with a consulting firm in Munich (Germany), and at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York. For the Permanent Mission of Germany to the UN, he worked mainly on Middle Eastern issues in the UN Security Council (e.g., resolutions on Syria and Yemen), as well as the UN General Assembly’s Fourth Committee. After interning at the UN and traveling in Central America, Farsan started his career as a management consultant at Bain & Company in Düsseldorf (Germany), where he worked on a variety of projects – primarily in the retail and finance sectors. During the summer between his first and second year at Yale, Farsan researched at the University of Cape Town (South Africa) on the impact of the FIFA World Cup 2010 on the South African economy. Academically, Farsan is interested in the fields of global governance and international political economy, motivated by concerns for global justice.
