Zheng Wang
Zheng (Karl) Wang is a seasoned entrepreneur and Internet personality in the fields of media, education, and public policy. During his undergraduate studies at UNC-Chapel Hill, he founded his personal educational channel “Xueyuanpai Academia,” growing its audience to over 2 million followers.
After graduation, he co-founded a media and policy firm specializing in digital media-based public policy and public relations solutions for key Chinese and international institutions. Within 4 years, he grew its global media network to 80 million follower outreach, leveraging this platform to promote knowledge democracy and enhance political understanding between China and the world. Zheng is also responsible for securing and managing long-term partnerships with globally renowned scholars (Pogge, Zizek, Varoufakis, Wolff, and Erhardt) and establishing policy, media, and academic collaborations with diverse institutions, including academic and foundational partners (PKU, Fudan, the Yale US-China Forum, the Nobel Foundation, Bloomsbury); key governmental and policy bodies (the United Nations, the Institute for Security Studies Africa, and key Chinese ministries and agencies like the MFA, MEE, IDCPC, CPPCC, and NPC); and leading technology corporations (Bytedance, Tencent, Alibaba, BYD, MiHoYo, and CECEP).
Joining the Environmental Impact Fund, Zheng spearheads collaborations with the Chinese government and green technology industry, as well as public and private fundraising. This work is driven by his belief in building a more just world through both substantive dialogue and innovative institutional design—a philosophy that connects him to the ideals of Pogge, GJP, and the EIF.
